During this one day workshop photography consultant and curator Marc Prüst will give participating photographers the tools to create a portfolio and prepare their presentation specifically for international portfolio reviews. After this intense day participants will come away with a clear idea of what they can achieve with reviews and how their work should be presented in this specific and demanding context.

Concepts such as visual language, elevator pitch, but also the different types of photographic stories will be explained and practiced during the day.

Active as photography consultant, curator, and teacher. In that capacity I edit books, create exhibitions, teach and organize workshops and masterclasses, lecture and write on photography, and – on an individual basis – advise photographers on how to develop their work and how to market it .I am currently curator at Noorderlicht Photography in Groningen, the Netherlands.

For Noorderlicht I develop a photographic documentation project on Northern Ghana. It includes a extensive education program, developed in cooperation with World Press Photo, and will lead to a publication and exhibition in 2018. I am the chiairman of the jury of the annual Canon Zilveren Camera competition.

Besides several smaller projects, I was the Artistic Director of the Photoreporter Festival in Saint Brieuc, France, from 2014 to 2016, one of three curators for the FotoGrafia festival in Rome for the period 2010 – 2012, and the creative director of the only photo festival in Nigeria, LagosPhoto in 2010 and 2011.
