In my photographic projects I bring forth environmental issues I want to have an influence on. It's important for me to have knowledge on the issue ado. Multidimensional imagery and being able to use different senses in photographic projects fascinate me. In my view "much" is too much and less is enough.

I will graduate as a photographer from Lahti Institute of Design this year. At the moment I'm finishing my bachelor thesis that addresses water conservation. I am also environmental engineer, which strengthens my photographic expression in environmental matters.

Though wind blows against

Though wind blows against tells the story of Juha Keto, a man who´s done his lifes work amidst preservation/protection of waters of Lahti area. It´s profile of a man with a set goal and a strong motivation in having effect on environmental issues.

This documentary piece is composed of Ketos memories in text form and related picture compositions. I use photographs shot by me, archive footage, drawing and sound in varied ways. There is a personal presentation supporting the narrative for each composition of memories. This piece will be exhibited as an installation.
