Born in Piraeus. From high school yet, the photography was my hobby, later became my part-time profession.
I studied graphic design in Athens. Alongside my studies I started working as a freelance photojournalist.
In 1990 I founded the creative bureau “gdistudio.com” in Piraeus providing mostly graphic design services.
The occasion for this project was the unprecedented crisis that erupted in Greece in recent years that touched me personally and professionally.
This series of 15 photographic works are allegorical depiction of a cruel but also strange reality.
The visual contact with the liquid element operates psychoanalytically and becomes the occasion of a virtual escape. Black and white thoughts, virtual living conditions, deadlocks, loneliness, violent changes in our daily lives make up the backdrop of a new routine we have to manage.
