The Island

Less genteel than Torquay - Less brash than Blackpool. Hayling Island, nestled between Portsmouth and Chichester, typifies the quintessential small town hoilday resort, that can be found all along the English south coast. As warmer and cheaper destinations continue to attract holidaymakers away, resorts like Hayling Island struggle to adapt and survive. However it still maintains it's (trapped in the 1960s) charm and hopefully these images taken during the "height" of Summer can convey to the viewer, some of the Island's endearing appeal
