“Not everybody can be a healer, you have to be ‘bother’ or ‘chase’ by lightning and survive”, says Don Mariano a healer from Q’ero.
The Q’eros are a community deeply connected with Mother Earth, Shamanism and their Apus, the powerful entities that live in the mountains. This community is located in the Peruvian Andes, at 19,600 feet high.
Ten years ago, I started a journey through the mountains documenting the Q’eros, and their initial changes. As time went by It became a journey where feeling the energy from the rocks, the Earth, talking to the mountains; or getting hit by “lighting”, was the norm.
Everything is in constant evolution including Them and the Mountains.
