I work in advertising. Photography has been a passion and a hobby for some time and is something that I would like to do more seriously.
I have some recurrent subjects. A few of them are identified, others are being discovered and some of them inspire me to search/explore other images/subjects/themes.
People and things sometimes seem to want to hide, to stay out of sight or to have a different form/appearance. Curtains, masks, veils, camouflage, barriers or disguises, appear to intentionally dissimulate different subjects, such as buildings, trees, human figures, etc., bounded by pictorial, existential and circumstantial complicity. In every frame, some visual elements are articulated to one another, playing a specific role in the same story as if they were a part of a spontaneous narrative, forming an ecosystem in which elements establish symbiotic relations between them. Dissimulative Survival Strategies is an ongoing series, that was started in November 2017.
