Loes van Harrevelt


Loes van Harrevelt (1970) works as a curator collections at the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. After a study at Utrecht University in art history and the history of architecture she worked at the Netherlands Architecture Institute (Het Nieuwe Instituut) and since 1998 at theĀ Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam, first as a coordinator collections, later as curator and interim head collections. In the Nederlands Fotomuseum she is at this moment as a curator collections partly responsible for the conservation and digitisation of the 168 photo archives, besides managing projects as the restoration of the color slides of Ed van der Elsken and a crowd sourcing project with the archive of Cas Oorthuys. She was involved in collection presentations as The Dark Room about the history of Dutch photography from the collection (2011-2015) and curated the exhibition Hunt with the camera (2016) about nature photography in the Netherlands after half a year of research in de collection of the museum.
