Matthieu Charon


Born in Paris in 1972, Matthieu Charon began his career being Agnes B. Image Director for six years. After that he collaborated with the photographers of Metis Agency, then joined the company Janvier as development director. Meanwhile he created a collection of photographic books for the Publisher Léo Scheer, including Works of Denis Darzacq, Jean-Christian Bourcart, Edouard Levé or Claude Lévêque.

As part of the Month of Photography in Paris, he put on the exhibitions Traffic on the work of Jean-Christian Bourcart (2004), and Amérique on the work of Edouard Levé (2007).

He was also in charge of La FNAC photo galleries, and a member of the executive committee of the festival Photomed. In 2011 he created with Remi Faucheux RVB BOOKS an independant publishing house and graphic design studio specialized in the conception and edition of high end printed materials and special books. Together they have published more then 60 books and collaborated with many artists among with Ruth van Beek, Penelope Umbrico, Thomas Mailaender or Tiane Doan na Champassak.
